Yesterday I talked to Shannon on the phone. For those of you who don't remember, Shannon is one of my best friends, she's a crazy Mormon who moved out west, has tried and failed numerous times to convert me, and she is now married with three children.

It felt great to talk to her and catch up, but it also made me really sad at the same time. We've both moved on with our lives, we're both so different. We barely talk now and haven't seen each other in years. :(

I remember when we first met back in grade 6. We sat next to each other and became friends instantly. All the sleep overs, inviting her to my birthday parties, getting so hyper and laughing so hard we couldn't breathe. I remember getting her in trouble in class once because I was trying to make her laugh.

It really sucks that we've grown apart. I miss my best friend. But I am happy that she is happy and doing well.
