Well I figured now is a good time to write about the crazy weekend I had. I meant to do this ON the weekend, but I was too tired. Warning...this is going to be VERY VERY long.

So...Friday night was the Weird Al concert at Casino Rama. We ALMOST didn't make it to the concert. Everything seemed to go wrong. One thing after another. Perry had a set plan in mind, but it didn't turn out the way he wanted at all. Robin had decided to go camping the night before, so the plan was to drive to the campsite, pick her up, come back so they can all get changed, go to Orillia to drop off the kids and then go to the casino to gamble for a bit before the concert.

Everything started out fine. We had JUST left to pick up Robin from the campsite. We were only a few blocks away from their house when Perry's cellphone rang. It was Robin saying that the police had shown up at the campsite and gave everyone tickets because apparently they don't allow camping there anymore. Robin was the only one who didn't get a ticket because she didn't bring her ID. So in addition to picking Robin up, he had to pick up the other five people who were camping with her, PLUS all the gear. So we had to turn back so he could drop me and the kids off at the house.

A little while later I get a call from Perry on my cellphone saying that the van broke down on the way to pick up Robin, he didn't know when he'd be back but would call and let me know what was going on. He had to call his brother to help him out. So his brother came and picked up Robin and her friends PLUS the gear, and took the van to his shop. Perry also had to call his parents to get him to pick him up.

Agh. So FINALLY Perry got back to the house with his parents. We all gathered into his parents van, went to his parents house to drop the kids off, and then Perry and I left. With his parents van. We got to Orillia to pick up Robin and then headed to the casino. The concert started at 9:00pm. We got to the casino at 8:45.

The concert was incredible. I seriously wish I had HALF the energy Weird Al does. He was jumping around, screaming, singing, and at one point he even came down into the audience to sing. And the costume changes! Holy moly! He sang the song "Fat" and came out wearing a full fat suit, for "Amish Paradise" he came out with the suit, the hat and the beard. For "The Saga Begins" he came out dressed as a Jedi and even had people dressed as storm troopers AND a Darth Vader on stage. And during "White and Nerdy" he came out on a segway. Holy crap. I was seriously impressed.

Unfortunately they didn't allow cameras, but people brought them in anyway. I was worried I'd get mine taken away, so I only managed to get a few pictures at the concert and a few videos. After the concert ended, we headed back to Perry's brothers place to pick up all the camping shit, and then we drove back to Barrie to drop me off. We stopped at Burger King for a late dinner as well.

So I get home at 1:30 in the morning and I'm still too pumped from the concert. So I decided to go online for a bit. I didn't think anyone would be on MSN, but when I signed in, I saw that Ben was online! So I talked to him...until 4:30 in the morning. Went to bed at 4:30, woke up at 8:30 and couldn't get back to sleep. So I spent most of Saturday not doing anything.

By 10:00 on Saturday night I was practically falling asleep. I get a call from Krystal saying that she is going with James (her ex) and a few of his friends to see "The Dark Knight" and would I like to come? Now...being that I was incredibly tired I really should have said no. But I said yes. We were going to see the 10:30 show but it was close to being sold out. SO we saw the 11:00 show and it was 2:30 in the morning when I got home. I totally crashed.

Sunday...I did absolutely nothing but watch Kids in the Hall on DVD. Oh right I'm not sure if I mentioned that.

Ever since we went to see the Kids in the Hall in Toronto, I'd been on a quest to find all the seasons on DVD. Awhile back I went all over town trying to find it on DVD and finally found the 5th season in Sunrise records for $40. The next day I went looking in a pawn shop and found season 1, brand new, UNOPENED for $20!! Perry went on ebay and found seasons 2 and 4 for UNDER $20, and asked if I wanted them. Yes! So now I have seasons 1,2,4, and 5 on DVD. Still trying to find season 3.

So...yeah. I guess that brings me up to now. I've finally caught up on sleep. Yay. My sister and her husband are here with my nephews until Sunday. Oh joy...

Ben is coming to visit next weekend. I'm so glad because it's been almost a month since I've seen him, and I've been feeling really lonely.
